1. Identify the right size pick trucks.

The size of a pick truck is determined by the number of orders it can move at one time. The more orders that can be loaded onto a single truck, the less time it takes to load them on board.

A large-size pick truck has room for several pallets and typically holds between 20 and 24 pallets in height. This type of unit is best used when you have multiple products with similar dimensions being picked from different locations in your warehouse or distribution center.

Smaller sized trucks are ideal for picking smaller quantities such as bags or boxes; however, if you need larger quantities of product (e.g., bulk), then consider using one with room for more than 24 pallets but fewer than 30 so that there’s enough space left over for other items like boxes or bins!

2. Use a reliable, functional and user-friendly scanning system.

A scanning system is a device that can be used to verify the accuracy of your inventory. It’s used to make sure that everything on the shelf is what it should be, and eliminates the possibility of double-ordering or missing items by checking each item against an electronic database.
